It gives educators the cheat codes to classroom success, enabling them to walk into their new Day One with clarity, confidence, and an energy that’s hard to ignore. As SEL takes center stage, this course shifts teachers’ focus from course curriculum to climate and culture. In education, students are tourists, classes are tours, and teachers are tour guides leading the journey. Like any trip, what makes it successful depends on the planning and preparation. The first day is the moment that sets the tone for everything ahead. First Day Finesse equips teachers with proven strategies and creative methods that turn classrooms into spaces that feel natural, easy and familiar. It equips educators with intentional strategies that strengthens student efficacy, establishes teacher credibility, and nurtures meaningful student relationships from the very first bell. First Day Finesse - Extended Course promotes “teacher teamwork” to build an in-house sustainable community of support.  Teachers use the advice and support from a mentor teacher of choice to aid in the creation and implementation of their First Day Format.   Through engaging video lessons, guided notes, reflective assignments and creative activities, teachers move beyond understanding into real-world application while working with other experienced educators to deepen their practice and bring each strategy to life.
